Colin Tenn
Owner of Brighton Jive & Stroll 4 Fitness
Dancer & Instructor
1992 I trained as a Fitness Instructor with RSA Exercise to Music and Later I also Zumba qualified, Back in 1999 I created Brighton Jive Promotions with my dance partner Janneke Saebo till 2008.
I have been a dancer and Jive Teacher for 24 years now, so have many years of experience enjoying being within "The Rock n Roll Scene"
in 2019 I decided to form Stroll 4 Fitness, with my experience as Fitness instructor felt that the various strolls on the social dance scene could be adapted to a low impact fitness class. I thoroughly enjoy running my classes as much as i do to jive dancing!
When I am not strolling and Jiving i am a very keen spectator of Formula One motor racing since i was a teenager!
I am a very active person, even when i relax i am out walking and hiking. I didn't really start until 2020 during the pandemic!
As I couldn't work due to the goverment rules apart from some classes I ran on Zoom, I kept myself fit and active by walking! I pushed myself by participating in Virtual Challenges. My best achievements were virtually walking Lands End to John O'Groats (1143 miles) in 3 months. I also walked two marathons. I have climbed Pen y Fan twice.
My latest challenge is to climb Snowdon in the new year.

During the summer of 2020, after over 30 years of not doing any press ups I took on the challenge of doing 25 press ups a day in 25 days to raise awareness of PTSD and Depression. Now in nearly 3 1/2 years later I am trying a much bigger challenge! 100 press ups a day during the month of November to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and to motivate people to overcome any health conditions.
Thank you everyone that has already sponsored me and made donations. This has been motivating me to train and I look forward to the challenge ahead starting on the 1st November!
